The 106th Georgia State Council Annual Meeting and Convention (May 15-18) was supported by the 4th Degree Color Guard from Patrick Walsh Assembly 174, Augusta.
The Color Guard superbly
supported the Memorial Mass, the Vigil Mass, and the Saturday Evening Banquet. Our thanks to (left to right)

On April 28th at Holy Family Church in Marietta, forty-one Catholics confirmed and strengthened their baptismal grace through the sacrament of Confirmation.
His Grace, Archbishop Gregory,
presided over the Confirmation and thanked the Knights for their presence. He called them the "Catholic CIA
(Christ's Ministers In Action)." Honor Guard participants included (left to right) Commander,
Arnold Phillips, new 4th Degree Knight Charlie Meyer, Ronnie Dunkley, Dick Kennel and Associate Commander, Joe Costa.
St.
Monica Council 12883 in Duluth, GA held its annual Art Auction on April 26th. The work crew took a short moment to pose for a picture after weeks of
preparation and the final push to ready the room at Notre Dame Academy. The Auction raised over $3,000 in this tough
economy.
At the Marietta Kiwanis Club
meeting on April 17th, Chairman of the Knights of Columbus / Holy Family Council Carpenter Open Golf Tournament,
Phil Pennartz (left), presents Must Ministry’s Director, John Moeller, with an installment gift check from the
Tournament's past charity proceeds.
Each Friday in Lent (except Good Friday), Holy Family Council hosts a "Phriday Phish Pheast". Monies raised (about $1,000 per Friday) are used for our various charities as designated by the pastor.
The weekly Lenten event is enjoyed
by many in the parish. Volunteers prepare the feast and staff the serving line (pictured left to right: Bob Slone,
Donna Bucalo, Gil Torres, and Elaine Ness).
On February 3rd, Holy Family hosted their traditional Fat Sunday Pasta Dinner. Over 200 people attended and the council brought in about $1,500 for various Holy Family projects designated by the pastor.
The event was chaired by PSD
John Brenner and his wife, Stella. The cooking crew (left to right: Joe Costa, Basil Ibenyenwa, Chuck Labarbera,
Bill Ness, and Bill Lind) was led by Joe Costa. Joe's company, Costa's Pasta, donated the pasta for the event.
On January 9th the charter
officers of the Fr. Mychal Judge Assembly were installed by District Master Herb Broughton and his staff at Notre Dame
Academy in Duluth. Fr. Judge was the Catholic Priest killed while performing Last Rites for fallen heroes at the World
Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
